            Baseball Recap: Mansfield Hornets vs. Foxborough Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Mansfield proved they can win big  on Monday (they won by eight) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Foxborough Warriors  4-3. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Luke Rogan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Mansfield is 3-1 when  Rogan allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Rogan was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  Brendan Vokey was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethan Kucharski, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Mansfield now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Foxborough,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield will head out to  face off against Taunton  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Hornets 3.6, the Tigers 2.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Foxborough, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Sharon  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
