Football Recap: Wagner Takes a Loss

Wagner was the 40-17 winner over San Marcos when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds were dealt a 52-13 loss at the hands of the Rattlers on Friday. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

J'Anthony Price and Houston Sims certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Price rushed for 104 yards and one TD, while Sims rushed for 66 yards and one score on only five carries.

Wagner now has a losing record of 1-2. As for San Marcos, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Wagner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-13 defeat against Pieper on the 19th. As for San Marcos, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-6 loss against Lake Travis on the 19th.
