Berlin falls despite strong effort from Emma Ellison

Recap: Berlin Redcoats vs. Glastonbury Guardians

After flying high against the Lewis Mills Spartans on Friday, the Berlin Redcoats came back down to earth. Berlin fell just short of Glastonbury by a score of 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Berlin has suffered yet this season.

Despite the loss, Berlin still got an impressive performance from Emma Ellison, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds. Ellison continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Walker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Berlin's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Glastonbury, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Berlin will head out on the road to face off against Glastonbury at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Glastonbury is ranked 11th, while Berlin is ranked 35th). As for Glastonbury, they will be playing at home against Berlin at 11:00 a.m. Hopefully Berlin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
