After a string of four wins, St. Joseph-Ogden's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 67-54 to the Pecatonica Indians. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Indians are ranked 14th).

St. Joseph-Ogden's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pecatonica, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

St. Joseph-Ogden will venture away from home to square off against Williamsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Pecatonica, they will challenge Hinckley-Big Rock at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday.
