Basketball Game Preview: Ryan Cowboys vs. Frederick Bombers

The Ryan Cowboys are taking a road trip to square off against the Frederick Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ryan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Monday, Ryan beat Thackerville 51-43.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Frederick's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turpin. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Cardinals are ranked 103rd).

Ryan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Frederick, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Ryan took a serious blow against Frederick in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 68-34. Can Ryan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
