Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Vikings vs. Forbush Falcons
North Forsyth gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Forbush Falcons 73-34. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.
North Forsyth found their leader in freshman Drahcir Williams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerry Smith, who went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points plus three steals.
Coincidentally, North Forsyth and Forbush will both be playing Elkin the next time they take the court. Forbush will host Elkin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while North Forsyth will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
