Baseball Recap: Keene Takes a Loss

Keene was the 5-4 winner over Trinity Leadership when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5 on Friday.

Daiden Duncan and Saul Lopez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Duncan scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Lopez scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Keene is 4-1 when Lopez posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-12 otherwise.

Keene's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Trinity Leadership, they pushed their record up to 6-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Trinity Leadership will face off against Village Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keene will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' matchup: after the Tigers faces off against the Viper Squid, they'll take on Keene again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
