Soccer Recap: Churchill's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Churchill gave up the first goal on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Clark Cougars. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Darwin Rodriguez and Sneyder Molina scored all three of Churchill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Churchill's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Clark, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season.

Churchill and Clark could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Churchill will face off against Brandeis at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 322 places (353 vs. 31). Similarly, Clark (ranked 337th) will meet Madison (ranked 43rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
