After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Oak Grove finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hueytown Golden Gophers, falling 12-1. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Oak Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie 'Sassy' Renz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Hueytown, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-13.

Looking ahead, Oak Grove will be playing at home against Corner at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.97 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hueytown, they will venture away from home to challenge Gardendale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
