It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Sanpete can now relate to. They fell just short of the South Summit Wildcats by a score of 10-9 on Thursday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Shea Rawlinson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. Rawlinson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Annie Madsen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Larson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

North Sanpete's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for South Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season.

As of now, neither North Sanpete nor South Summit have any future games scheduled.
