Basketball Recap: Del Mar Has No Trouble Against Yerba Buena

Del Mar won the last time they faced Yerba Buena and things went their way on Friday too. The Del Mar Dons took down the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors 46-30. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Dons this season.

Yerba Buena lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brandon Pham, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Tran, who had seven points.

Del Mar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Yerba Buena, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.

Coincidentally, Del Mar and Yerba Buena will both be playing Overfelt the next time they take the court. Yerba Buena will host Overfelt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Del Mar will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
