Football Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Tolar Rattlers

The Jacksboro Tigers will take on the Tolar Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jacksboro will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, Jacksboro got the win against Holliday by a conclusive 62-40. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Wyatt Gavit continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 528 yards and seven TDs while completing 79.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 70 yards and one touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last six games he's played. 126 of Gavit's passing yards were hauled in by Isaac Wesson.

Jacksboro didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Holliday to a completion percentage of just 44.1%. The team can thank Kris Wicks for the heroic effort on defense: he. Jacksboro has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.65 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.65 in their last three games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tolar). They breezed past Eastland to the tune of 47-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rattlers just coasted through the last quarter.

Jacksboro's record is now 6-4. As for Tolar, their record now sits at 4-6.

It's a different story for Tolar, though, as they've been averaging only 141.2 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
