Football Recap: Grayslake North Takes a Loss

Grayslake North fell victim to Antioch and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 68-0 loss at the hands of the Sequoits. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Sequoits are ranked 48th).

Abbigail Fuesting was her usual excellent self, rushing for 206 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also picking up 67 receiving yards and one score for Antioch. Those 206 rushing yards gave Fuesting a new career-high. Evie Baronello was in the mix too, providing Antioch with two touchdowns.

Grayslake North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Antioch, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayslake North will head out to take on Deerfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Antioch, they will venture away from home to face off against McHenry at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
