Basketball Game Preview: Specially Fit Academy Rams vs. Lakeland Christian Vikings

The Specially Fit Academy Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Lakeland Christian Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-45, which was the final score in Specially Fit Academy's tilt against Zephyrhills Christian Academy two weeks ago. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lakeland Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-39 win over Tenoroc.

Specially Fit Academy better focus on containing Joseph Donohue and D.J. Howard as the pair were huge in Lakeland Christian's win. Donohue went 10-for-20 to rack up 25 points and three steals, while Howard shot 54% from the field en route to 16 points and seven steals. Those 25 points gave Donohue a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Collins, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

The victory got Lakeland Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Specially Fit Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
