Volleyball Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Monticello Buckaroo. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buckaroo apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

Altamont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Monticello work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Kate Lindsay paced Altamont's offense, picking up seven kills. Lindsay got some help from Lauren Thacker and her 15 assists.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Monticello, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.

Coming up, Altamont will be playing in front of their home fans against Wendover at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monticello, they will venture away from home to face off against Green River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
