Preview: Scott City Rams vs. East Prairie Eagles
Scott City is 5-0 against East Prairie since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Scott City Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Prairie Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Scott City won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune last Thursday. Their tough 54-30 loss to St. Pius X might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Scott City has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, East Prairie lost to Westwood Baptist Academy at home by a decisive 38-20 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, East Prairie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Westwood Baptist Academy is ranked 187th).
Scott City bumped their record down to 7-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for East Prairie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Scott City against East Prairie in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 79-26 win. Will Scott City repeat their success, or does East Prairie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
