Recap: Metamora Redbirds vs. MacArthur Generals
The Metamora Redbirds entered their tilt with the MacArthur Generals with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Metamora blew past MacArthur 36-14. Considering Metamora has won five matchups by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Metamora to victory were Jaiduan Cranford and Nick Rhoades. Cranford rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, while Rhoades rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Cranford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Metamora also got a significant boost from Evan Keil, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
Metamora's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points per game. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Metamora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. MacArthur also has no future games currently scheduled.
