Softball Recap: North Valleys Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

North Valleys put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Sparks Railroaders get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

North Valleys got a massive performance out of Jordan Gainey, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Annaka Fischer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Valleys kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

North Valleys' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Sparks, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

North Valleys will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Railroaders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
