Baseball Recap: Granite Hills Beats Barstow for Their Third Straight Victory

Granite Hills had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Barstow Aztecs. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 6-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Kaleb Kutz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Travon Jackson Jr, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Granite Hills' record is now 11-3. As for Barstow, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granite Hills is set to face off against their familiar foe Silverado at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Barstow will square off against rival Adelanto at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
