Baseball Recap: Kimball Wins Going Away Against Chavez

Kimball never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Chavez Titans with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Dawson Pelech was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Kimball let Ryder Seriosa and Carson Reese run wild. Seriosa scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Reese scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave Reese a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Mainarick, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Kimball was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Kimball's record now sits at 3-0. As for Chavez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
