Baseball Recap: Cedaredge Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Cedaredge was feeling good fresh off their 15-8 takedown of Center on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell just short of the Ignacio Bobcats by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Dane Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makai Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Cedaredge's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3. As for Ignacio, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cedaredge will venture away from home to square off against Meeker at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ignacio, they will welcome Sanford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
