Basketball Recap: Melstone Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Melstone had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down Custer/Hysham 57-43 on Saturday. Given the Broncs' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Custer/Hysham are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the fourth in a row for Melstone, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Custer/Hysham, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Melstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Custer/Hysham, they will square off against Broadview/Lavina at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
