Softball Game Preview: Metropolitan vs. Rustin

Metropolitan will face off against Rustin at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Metropolitan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Prospect Heights with a sharp 28-1 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Rustin never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Beach Channel 14-0.

Metropolitan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.4 runs over those games. As for Rustin, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
