Recap: Johnson County Trojans vs. Manchester Blue Devils
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Johnson County Trojans can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Manchester on Friday, falling 35-0. Johnson County's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Darius Favors had a dynamite game for Manchester, rushing for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Qua Cooper, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Johnson County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Manchester, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Johnson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Manchester will take on Clinch County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinch County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
