Basketball Recap: South River Takes a Loss

South River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Kennedy Memorial Mustangs 42-14. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-21 back in January.

South River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Kennedy Memorial, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

South River will be playing in front of their home fans against Carteret at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Carteret will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something South River surely won't give up without a fight. Kennedy Memorial has already played their next contest (against South Plainfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
