Softball Recap: Olympia Takes a Loss

If Olympia was riding high fresh off their 20-7 takedown of Curtis last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell just short of the Puyallup Vikings by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since May 25, 2024.

Olympia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Crass, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Olympia's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Puyallup, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Olympia will challenge Rogers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Puyallup, they will face off against Montesano at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
