Basketball Recap: Whitmer Piles Up the Points Against Northview

Whitmer won the last time they faced Northview and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Whitmer Panthers breezed past the Northview Wildcats to the tune of 86-44. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

The win (which was Whitmer's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points over those games. As for Northview, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Whitmer will challenge Start at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Whitmer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Start likes a good challenge. As for Northview, they will square off against Anthony Wayne at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
