Baseball Recap: Foley Wins Going Away Against Spectrum

Foley came out on top against Spectrum on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Sting. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Sting on Saturday, they had to take a 9-4 defeat.

Von Murphy was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last ten contests. Teddy Rasmussen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Foley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spectrum only posted a batting average of .296.

The win got Foley back to even at 6-6. As for Spectrum, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foley will host Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spectrum, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against West Lutheran at 4:30 p.m.
