Football Game Preview: Adams Central Patriots vs. Milford Eagles

The Adams Central Patriots will face off against the Milford Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Adams Central came up short against Lincoln Christian and fell 28-20. The Patriots were down 28-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Wilson Huyser, who picked up 54 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 31 yards. Adams Central also got help from Nick Mousel, who showed off his sure hands for 93 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Milford played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Aurora and fell 49-14. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Like Adams Central, Milford lost despite seeing results from several players. Connor Adams led the charge by picking up 98 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Adams got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 50 yards.

Adams Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Milford, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Adams Central might still be hurting after the 28-8 defeat they got from Milford when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Patriots were down 21-0.
