Basketball Recap: Three Rivers Takes a Loss

Three Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 46-37 defeat to the Pettus Eagles. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pettus, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.

Three Rivers will take on Woodsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pettus, they will challenge Kenedy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pettus is facing Kenedy at the right time seeing as Kenedy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
