Basketball Recap: Carthage Comes Up Short

Carthage was the 65-50 winner over Cortland when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Carthage Comets lost 66-43 to the Cortland Purple Tigers on Saturday. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carthage's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cortland, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.

Carthage will take on Watertown in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Watertown will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Carthage surely won't give up without a fight. Cortland and Cincinnatus Central will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
