Recap: Eastbrook Panthers vs. Norwell Knights
It was a good run, but the Eastbrook Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Norwell on the road and fell 68-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastbrook in their matchups with Norwell: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Eastbrook lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sophia Morrison. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points. The game was Morrison's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Estah McKim, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Eastbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Norwell, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Eastbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Frankton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Frankton is ranked 110th, while Eastbrook is ranked 86th). As for Norwell, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbia City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
