Reedley hasn't had much luck against Sanger recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Reedley will welcome Sanger at 4:00 p.m. Reedley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Reedley will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Tulare Union, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Reedley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Tulare Union on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since April 26, 2024.

Kristyn Gordon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Isabella Lucero, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Sanger owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against Kingsburg by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.

Emma Hernandez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samantha Guerra, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Sanger lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Sanger's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Reedley, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
