After a string of seven wins, Altoona's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Ambrose Academy Guardians by a score of 2-1.

Lily Duquaine paced Altoona's offense, picking up seven kills. Duquaine got some help from Piper Berg and her 21 assists. Duquaine was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for St. Ambrose Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Altoona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Baldwin-Woodville on the 7th. As for St. Ambrose Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Medford on the 4th.
