The Thomasville Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Worth County Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, everything came up roses for Thomasville against Jeff Davis as the team secured a 56-21 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 207th).

Thomasville can attribute much of their success to Lavonte Cole, who rushed for 133 yards and two scores on only nine carries, and Cam Hill, who rushed for 79 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 133 rushing yards gave Cole a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thomasville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 342 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kayden Walker, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Worth County's strategy against Brantley County on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rams blew the Herons out of the water with a 49-0 final score. The Rams' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Worth County's win came from a few key players Thomasville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Chester, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Lyndon Worthy, who threw for 98 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes.
Worth County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dashaun Rockwell and Chance Sims. Rockwell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Thomasville's record now sits at 5-1. As for Worth County, their record is now 6-0.
Thomasville and Worth County were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Thomasville came up empty-handed after a 28-27 loss. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
