Baseball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County lost against Marion County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-5. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Foster, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Foster has become a key player for the Patriots: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-18 otherwise. Another was Parker Hart, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lincoln County's record is now 11-20. As for Marion County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will host Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion County, they will welcome Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
