Volleyball Recap: Grape Creek Takes a Loss

Grape Creek was the 3-0 winner over Merkel when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Badgers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured ten defeats in a row.

While Grape Creek was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Merkel's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Grape Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Merkel, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 13-14 record.

Grape Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on the 4th. As for Merkel, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Jim Ned on the 4th.
