Basketball Game Preview: Evans Trojans vs. Lyman Greyhounds

The Evans Trojans and the Lyman Greyhounds will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Evans will be strutting in after a win while Lyman will be coming in after a loss.

Evans will head into Tuesday's contest after some sweet revenge against Windermere: Evans lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Windermere, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of 2's match. Everything went Evans' way against Windermere on Tuesday as Evans made off with a 44-24 victory.

Meanwhile, Lyman came up short against Lake Brantley on Tuesday and fell 41-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, Lyman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Samara Oldham posted 16 points.

Evans' win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Lyman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Evans beat Lyman 67-60 when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Does Evans have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lyman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
