Baseball Recap: O'Gorman Comes Up Short

O'Gorman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brandon Valley Lynx. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Talec Schlimgen was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Another player making a difference was Bennett Duncan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

O'Gorman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Brandon Valley, the win (which was their 13th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

O'Gorman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stevens at 1:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for Brandon Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
