Baseball Recap: Croton-Harmon Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Croton-Harmon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Briarcliff Bears 4-3. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Nate Geberth tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Levine, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Max Fredman, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Croton-Harmon's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Briarcliff, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Croton-Harmon and Briarcliff should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Tigers will face off against Ossining at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (134 vs. 455). Meanwhile, Briarcliff (ranked 236th) will meet Blind Brook (ranked 486th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
