Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Christian Academy Royals vs. Greater Vision Academy Lions

The Riverside Christian Academy Royals will head out on the road to square off against the Greater Vision Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Riverside Christian Academy has four straight victories, Greater Vision Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Gavin Bynum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Bynum was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Bynum is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Landon English was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Meanwhile, Greater Vision Academy came up short against Greensboro Day School on Thursday, falling 18-1.

Riverside Christian Academy's record is now 4-0. As for Greater Vision Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
