Hancock dropped their record down to 10-12 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedy Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Friday.

As for Kennedy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Kennedy's part, Jaycob Solorio was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Solorio a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Issac Quintanilla looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
