Baseball Recap: Severn School Comes Up Short

If Severn School was feeling good fresh off their 13-6 takedown of St. Mary's last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Admirals fell just short of the St. Paul's Crusaders by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Admirals have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Severn School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Barney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Severn School's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for St. Paul's, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Severn School will challenge McDonogh at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Admirals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for St. Paul's, they will face off against Glenelg Country at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
