Softball Recap: Sotomayor Takes a Loss

If Sotomayor was feeling good fresh off their 18-7 takedown of Robert F. Kennedy Community last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sotomayor Wolves came up short against the Triumph Charter Jaguars on Monday, falling 29-13. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 21-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Sotomayor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Triumph Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Sotomayor will square off against Bravo at 3:00 p.m. on March 12th. As for Triumph Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Smidt Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Triumph Charter has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
