Basketball Recap: Richwood Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Webster last Friday, Richwood came back down to earth. The Richwood Rams were outmatched by the Sterlington Panthers and fell 56-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Richwood's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Sterlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Richwood has already played their next match (against Minden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sterlington is taking a road trip to take on Bastrop at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bastrop has won eight straight at home, while Sterlington won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
