Soccer Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

Lincolnton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Lincoln Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Tuesday.

Lincolnton's goal came courtesy of Melanie Solera, who's now up to three this season.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Lincolnton will challenge North Gaston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Lincoln, they will face off against Mooresville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
