Softball Recap: La Canada Takes a Loss

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, La Canada was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Monrovia Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

La Canada saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Labrecque, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

La Canada has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Monrovia, they pushed their record up to 14-8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. La Canada is set to take on their familiar foe South Pasadena at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Monrovia will challenge rival Temple City at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
