Owensboro Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Grayson County Cougars 74-38. The Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Owensboro Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrey Randolph led the charge by going 6-for-8 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Karmin Riley, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 15 points and three steals.

Owensboro Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Owensboro Catholic pushed their record up to 26-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Grayson County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6-1.

Looking ahead, Owensboro Catholic will take on Daviess County in a tournament on Sunday. One thing working in Owensboro Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. Grayson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
