Suggested Video

Aspen has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will host the Delta Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Aspen is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 53-6 victory over Moffat County on the road. With that win, the Skiers brought their scoring average up to 28.8 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aspen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Henry Hurd, who picked up 42 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Another back making a difference was Dylan Mika, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Aspen wouldn't let Moffat County keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Aspen can thank Mika and Alec Slesinger-Hall for forcing both of them. Mika is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Aspen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 200 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Delta was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Middle Park 42-13 on the road.

Aspen pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Delta, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

Aspen took a serious blow against Delta in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, falling 56-0. Can Aspen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
