Peninsula won the last time they faced Port of Los Angeles and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Peninsula Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Kaydence Lang, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Frances Toman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Peninsula's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Port of Los Angeles, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Peninsula will be taking part in a tournament against Santa Monica at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Port of Los Angeles, they will be playing at home against South Gate at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Port of Los Angeles is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
